It’s been a bit since I’ve shared what’s been happening in this life of mine but I’m hoping in the next few posts I’ll be able to give some insight as to what I’ve been up to! Earlier this week Ray and I were invited for a date night at Fogo De Chao for a tasting of their spring menu. Fogo De Chao is a Brazilian steakhouse that offers a full Churrasco experience which includes continual service of fire-roasted meats carved table side.
The Midtown location is their 16,000 square foot flagship and the first they’ve opened in the New York area. Ray and I have visited the restaurant a few times before for birthday celebrations so we were excited to be able to come back.
We happily enjoyed their Picanha, filet mignon, beef ancho, lamb, and chicken carved right onto our plates. Aside from the meats that make their rounds, there’s also a special order option for NY strip steak or tomahawk. On this night we went for the strip steak, but we usually go for the tomahawk; either way, both options are a good addition to the usual spread. We had access to the Market Table as part of the full Churrasco experience where the spread is vegetables, salads, fruits, meats & cheeses, as well as a variety of soup and on this night, spicy bacon! Lastly, we wrapped everything up with a Creme de Coconut (new on the menu for spring) and cappuccinos. Think of Creme de Coconut like a coconut creme brûlée with vanilla bean ice cream on top. It was perfection!
And while our the food was incredibly delicious, the customer service from Lorena and the staff made the entire Fogo De Chao experience one to remember! Thanks Fogo De Chao for inviting us to try your spring menu! We’ll definitely be back again soon 🙂
