I was browsing through the fragrance aisle at Sephora when the minimalist packaging of bottled perfumes caught my eye. The bottles, in black and white, were neatly arranged in a line, their labels simply stating their fragrance. Book. Such a familiar scent but was it possible to replicate and place into a bottle? I sampled book and immediately fell in love; it was the perfect scent for fall/winter!
Book was the gateway perfume into Commodity Fragrances. The brand has three collections: Platinum (rich, indulgent, luxurious), Black (dark, complex, mysterious), and White (bright, fresh, uplifting). Once I started to explore the other scents I quickly became a fan of Wool, Bergamot, Gold, and Rain. I’ve become a huge fan of the brand so I was ecstatic and humbled when the company asked me if I was interested in being a brand ambassador!
Commodity invited me to a attend a preview of their newest fragrances, Velvet and Nectar, set to release March 2018 and to chat with the perfumers behind the creations. Velvet, created by Jerome Epinette, is part of the Black collection and its scent blends Roasted Almond, Rose Petals, and Black Amber. Nectar, created by Mathieu Nardin and part of the White collection, is a luminous and vibrant scent that blends Juicy Pomelo and Tangerine fruits with Neroli Oil and Honeysuckle.
The new fragrances are beautiful and I’ve quickly become charmed to Nectar (I’m naturally drawn to light, refreshing scents). Thank you Commodity for the first look!
