Goodbye 2015, Hello 2016!

I’ve never been one to make resolutions for the new year besides the “Make this year better than the last” but this year, I feel differently — I have a handful of resolutions! Resolutions, cliche or not, are great to make any time during the year but there’s something about starting with a clean slate on January 1st and seeing how far you’ve come later in the year. I find that physically writing down my resolutions makes them not only more real and but I’m more likely to keep them going after January. If you’ve already conceptualized your resolutions for 2016 but have not found a place to write them down, there are a handful of free print outs on the web (here and here) to help you get them down on paper.

MM’s 2016 Resolutions/Intentions

  1. Reach 100 Classpass classes by June 1st
  2. Pay better attention and take care of my skin
  3. Be more conscious with my food choices & eat healthier
  4. Spend less money, save more!
  5. Learn how to practice meditation daily
  6. Improve my handwriting & learn calligraphy
  7. Read a new book each month
  8. Konmari Method my life
  9. Write down 3 things I’m grateful for each day

Some of these resolutions I’ve already started on prior to the new year and I’m looking forward to see where I’ll be three months from now! I spent New Year’s Eve with my closest friends in the city, dining at Blue Ribbon Sushi and watching the ball drop — nothing crazy like previous celebrations in the past but I wouldn’t have brought in the new year any other way!
