It’s crazy how early you start to feel the holiday season while you’re in New York City. The chilly weather came in September, it snowed in October, and shortly after Halloween, holiday lights and Christmas trees/ornaments have been put up along the streets and on storefronts. I’m excited to be out in the city during the holidays but a teensy bit heartbroken that I won’t be with my family on the west coast for the first time. I’ve never spent Thanksgiving/Christmas away from my family 🙁 However, it’s not like I won’t be seeing them.. The first week in December I’ll be vacationing with them in the Caribbeans! I’ve been looking forward to this vacation for the longest time, especially since the last time I had seen them was back in August! So I guess you can say that I’ll be celebrating the holidays with them early? 🙂
I’ll be meeting up with them in New Orleans for a day and then we set sail onboard a Carnival cruise! It’ll be my first time in NOLA & my first time on a cruise. Lucky for me, it’s also a 7-day cruise so there’s no doubt that I’ll be able to relax on this much-needed vacation! *whew, just needed to vent that out there. To whoever is reading this, I hope you have an amazing Thanksgiving feast with the ones you love!
