It’s always an exciting time in New York when Fashion Week rolls around — the anticipation of the shows, the street styles, and the events that bring together some of best brands and industry folk together, is always fun. I’ll admit that working full-time apart from blogging make it a challenge to attend shows and events but having been considered to attend and be invited to shows and events is still so exciting and humbling. There’s a few events that I’ll be attending this week and I’ll be recapping continuously throughout the week, so stay tuned!
Saks Downtown is officially open! The department store has opened shop at Brookfield Place, making this its second location aside from its Fifth Avenue flagship in Manhattan. And while this is its second location, it’s quite a different experience than the flagship. Ditching the department store vibe and taking on boutique-chic, Saks has carefully curated the Downtown location with a handful of designers and beauty counters unlike the usual or traditional. The night before its grand opening (Sept 9th) Vogue hosted an opening party and invitees got a first look at the new store!
When Vera Bradley had asked if I wanted to host the It’s Good To Be A Girl event at their Roosevelt Field location I jumped at the opportunity! It was a fun afternoon talking about Vera Bradley’s newest styles, why it’s good to be a girl, and enjoyed sweets and bubblies! The team over at Roosevelt Field were the sweetest!
Vogue celebrated Wella and NYFW with cocktails at The Blonde on Monday! Specially made cocktails were named after trendy hairstyles and the guest of honor that night was model Karolina Kurkova!
