We had expected rain on this day from the start of the trip and we weren’t going to let it deter our Disney plans! The plan was to spend the morning at Animal Kingdom and the remainder of the afternoon at Hollywood Studios, and the last of the day at Epcot to catch Illuminations.
It was already raining by the time we got to Disney’s Animal Kingdom and crowds were low because of it. My water repellent jacket and Lulu pants could only take so much rain but I was happy that it protected me from most of it. We got onto all the rides without zero wait times, it was great!
The rain took a break when we decided to hop to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and it allowed us dry off a little before the continuing on-and-off showers. By this time, I could care less of how cute I was looking — I just wanted to be dry! Considering that it was pouring rain throughout the day, this day was the most I walked according to Fitbit; I walked 22,920 steps!
We watched Fantasmic and rode Rock’n Rollercoaster a second time before making our way to Epcot via ferry to watch Illuminations. This was our final day at Disney and it was bittersweet; sad that it was our last Disney day but thrilled to be going to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
