The last two days of our Orlando trip was spent at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. It was easy getting to the theme parks, thanks to Uber! We headed straight to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter to avoid the crowds and I’m glad we did that on both days — this part of the parks can get pretty crowded especially since the ‘land’ isn’t all that big to begin with.
We rode Harry Potter and The Forbidden Journey, Flight of the Hippogriff, and Dragon Challenge. I’m beginning to realize that I don’t do well with simulated rides anymore — The Forbidden Journey left me feeling sick! I don’t think I’ve ever been on a ride where I couldn’t wait for it to be over.
After checking out the entire Islands of Adventure, we rode the Hogwarts Express to Diagon Alley for a late lunch at The Leaky Cauldron. It was really cool to see the books and movies come to life! My favorite ride at Harry Potter World would have to be Escape From Gringotts! Butterbeer is actually really good and I wish that this was sold outside of the parks. We liked it so much, we got it both days and when it comes to the regular butterbeer and frozen butterbeer, I prefer the regular since because of the fizziness.
