Outdoor Voices hosted their 2nd Dog Jog in SoHo over the weekend! Guinness and I met with our fur-friends at the Outdoor Voices shop and from there we spent the morning walking around the neighborhood! We stopped for coffee & water along the way and got our morning exercise in!
On Sunday I participated in the High Line Hotel‘s Yoga in The Refectory series; it was a three-part series with yoga apparel brand, Haven Collective and studios Modo Yoga, Yoga Maya, and Sky Ting! Each week expert yogis from the studios taught various disciplines of yoga for all levels, all decked out in Haven Collective. All classes were complimentary, however, donations were accepted for The Partnership for the Homeless.
I’m a huge fan of Sky Ting! It’s convenient for me to attend since it’s just around the block from my apartment, but the environment and energy Sky Ting exudes is just addicting. I was super excited to hear that Sky Ting was participating in Yoga in The Refectory so I made my way over for an afternoon of yoga.
The Refectory is such a beautiful space! Upon entering, I couldn’t get over how it reminded me so much of Hogwarts! Manduka proLite mats had lined the floors, ready for yogis to make their way into downward dog. Chloe Kernaghan taught the class with a handful of assistants to help the room get into their poses & for some hands-on adjustments. My best part of class? Taking in the space at The Refectory and reflecting on my practice! From the floor to the ceiling, this historic space was stunning.
After class, we had the opportunity to purchase and take home the mats at a discount as a donation to The Partnership for the Homeless 🙂
Till next time.. ♥Mariel
