It brings me joy seeing companies and offices that take their employees health into consideration by integrating wellness into the office space. The Yard, a coworking office space with multiple locations in NYC and in different cities, is bringing wellness to their workspace with a quarterly series, Be Well. These new wellness events will bring together members, partners in the health and wellness fields and local experts, brands and other organizations to help create a community of open dialogue and education. I don’t work at The Yard, so thanks to my friends over at Big Picture Media for inviting me to check out the event!
Be Well kicked off with a 10-minute meditation led by Julie of Vie Meditation. It was a guided meditation starting off with us mentally scanning our bodies and bringing awareness. After the meditation session, we visited with vendors (see list of vendors below), sampled treats, and even created our own coffee scrubs and avocado toasts. We wrapped up the event with an engaging discussion with panelists from Mowellens, Vie Meditation, Human@Ease and Body By Emily, moderated by The Yard’s own wellness leader and founder of TRU HAUS Gabriella Truglio. They shared their morning self-care routines, gave us insight into being a being a boss and how they handle their work/life balance, and even shared tools to incorporate into our wellness routines.
